The Wichita Falls Police Department is warning residents of a scam in the city.

The Wichita Falls Police Department is warning residents of a scam in the city. It involves someone asking for money for Kell West Hospital. Here is the release from the WFPD:

Officers with the WFPD Financial Crimes Unit are investigating reports of a scam in Wichita Falls. Person(s) have been going door to door soliciting funds for Kell West Hospital. If you are approached by persons soliciting funds in this manner do not participate. If you believe you have been a victim of this crime you can contact the Wichita Falls Police Department front desk at (940) 761-7792 to make a report. 

Any person soliciting within the City of Wichita Falls must have registered with the City and have a permit issued by the City of Wichita Falls.
