Whitefield Status Hearing Cancelled

Teddy Whitefield is charged with three counts of manslaughter.
Still no trial date set in the case against former Wichita Falls Police Officer Teddy Whitefield

The case was scheduled for a status hearing today, but that hearing was cancelled.

Whitefield is charged with three counts manslaughter in connection with a crash that killed two Wichita Falls teenagers and an unborn baby on Jacksboro Highway in June 2011.

Authorities say Whitefield was on duty when his vehicle hit a car carrying 18-year-old Yeni Lopez, who was eight-months pregnant, and 13-year-old Gloria Montoya.

Toxicology results detected four different medications in Whitefield's system, including an allergy medicine, diet pills, and two different types of depression medication, one of those Xanax.

His case has had several hearings scheduled and then postponed.
