A Texoma man shot early this morning is expected to survive, but officials say the man is not cooperating with authorities.

A Texoma man shot early this morning is expected to survive, but officials say the man is not cooperating with authorities.
Wichita County deputies were called to the hospital in Electra just before 3 a.m.
Officials say a 33 year-old man from Electra was brought there by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
He was transferred to United Regional Hospital.
Authorities say he is expected to live but he is not cooperating with the investigators.
 
"We have interacted with him in the past, as well as the Electra Police Department has interacted with him as well. He has not been very cooperation or his girlfriend that was with him or given correct information about what has occurred." 

Sheriff Duke says the victim underwent surgery this morning and his condition is unknown.
He also says despite the victim not cooperating, detectives are pursuing several other leads to find out what happened.
