Wichita County Early Voting Numbers Continue to Rise

Several hundred more Wichita County residents got out Wednesday to cast their early ballots for next week's runoff election from the March primary.

Since republicans and Burkburnett residents, Lee Harvey, Sr. and Bill Lockwood, are in a runoff for the Wichita County Commissioner Precinct 2 race, county election officials say a large number of the early voters are from Burk.

Here's a quick look at early voting totals.

From Monday through yesterday, election officials say more than 2,000 early votes were cast.

Officials say more than 1,600 republican ballots were casts with 467 republican voters from Burkburnett heading to the polls early.

Early voting ends Friday.

Voting hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Wichita County Courthouse, the tax office in Iowa Park and the Chamber of Commerce in Burk; 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Precinct 4 building in Electra; and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Sikes Senter Mall and Home Depot.
