Wichita County Commissioners have found a way to help smooth out some of the worst roads in the county.
Earlier this year commissioners approved submitting for a state grant that would cover repairing some roads and at Monday’s meeting they will be voting to sign a resolution that will approve the grant agreement.
That agreement will also make commissioner Barry Mahler the county representative for the project.
The roads commissioners plan to fix are Old State Road ,River Road, Rifle Range Road and Krohn Road.
Repair costs total 1.1 million dollars.
The money comes from the county creating those areas into a "County Energy Transportation Reinvestment Zone".
