Friends and family will say goodbye to man affectionately known as "Bee Man."

Bennie Watson died Sunday at the age of 86. He was a life-long resident of Wichita Falls and founder and president of the Red River Valley Bee Keepers Association.

He was a bookkeeper and prepared income taxes for many years, and also was a teacher. Bennie was always available to us here at KFDX when we had questions about bees and he was a valuable resource to the community.

He would respond to anyone in the community who found a hive near their home and he'd remove it for free.

Services are Tuesday, April 22nd at 3 pm in the Owens and Brumley Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. Members of the Red River Valley Bee Keepers Association will serve as pallbearers.
