It's now been over a year and nine months since the liquor license for the Las Vegas Club on North Scott expired.

It is still operating pending a review and renewal.

Club owners filed for that renewal, but the Texas Alcoholic Beverage commission gave notice of its intent not to renew the license and the City of Wichita Falls joined that effort, after police reported a high number of crimes at the location, including eight assaults, 13 drug calls and 41 arrest warrants from 2004 to 2011.

In Texas, hearings on disputed liquor licenses are presided over and decided by the county judge.

The judge's decision can be appealed to a district judge.
