Wild Bird Rescue in Wichita Falls Is Needing Help

Wild Bird Rescue is in need of donations to keep feeding the birds and is looking for a new executive director.
The Wild Bird Rescue in Wichita Falls houses and takes care of many different types of wild birds, from doves to owls, but they may need your help to keep up their work.

The rescue needs donations to pay for worms for the baby birds as well as other forms of bird food and to keep their operations running.

Volunteers say they only have a few weeks of money left, and need to order about $400 to $500 worth of worms next week to keep feeding the birds.

"At the moment we are very much in a crunch, we have about two to three weeks left of funds on hand and this is our most expensive time of the year. We are just getting ready to go into our summer birds, our summer birds are the meat eaters and insect eaters," Penny Miller, a volunteer at Wild Bird Rescue, says.

Volunteers also say they are in desperate need of a new executive director, which is a salary position.
