A Wichita Falls woman pleads guilty to embezzling thousands of dollars from a local attorney... and will be placed on deferred adjudication for five years.
Melissa Clairday pleaded guilty to the charge of theft under 20- thousand- dollars.
Court documents allege Clairday stole more than 81- hundred- dollars in a three month period while working for Jeff Eaves.
Eaves claims Clairday forged 11 checks made payable to herself.
He also says Clairday paid for her personal cell phone bills with his business checking account number.
Sentencing documents say that Clairday will pay more than 7- thousand dollars in restitution.
