Woman Pleads Guilty to Smoking Meth in Front of Kids

    A woman pleaded guilty in 78th District Court today to smoking methamphetamines in a home with three children inside
    Julie Carroll received five years probation for the crime.
    She will also have to pay a $750 fine.
    An arrest affidavit states police served a search warrant at a home in the 23-hundred block of 9th St.
    They say they found four plastic baggies containing suspected meth and other drug paraphernalia on a bed.
    Authorities say urine samples were taken from all three children in the home and the results show methamphetamine was detected in two of the samples.
