The 20th Annual Iwo Jima Survivor's reunion wrapped up Sunday morning, with a flag folding ceremony. The ceremony took place at the Holiday Inn in Wichita Falls with colors presented by the Sheppard Air Force Base Color Guard.
Survivors traveled from all over the nation to attend, as well as honor and reflect on the battle of Iwo Jima, that started 67 years ago.
"I have been to many many reunions, I speak at a lot of seminars, and do my own seminars, and I have been through the West coast, and through the East coast. This reunion here is one of the best. I think it is one of the best," said survivor Marshall Harris
Even though the number of Iwo Jima survivors are declining, organizers say this year's reunion actually had more attendants than last year.
