At least one family is displaced after a Saturday morning fire at a Wichita Falls apartment complex.

It happened in the 48- hundred block of Likins Circle around 7 this morning.

Neighbors say everyone made it okay.

According to Katrina Farmer with The Red Cross, seven apartments were affected by the fire and one seems to be destroyed.

The Red Cross is helping the families with whatever they need going forward and will be working with Disaster Helping Hands to find the families new furniture once they have a permanent place to stay.

But Farmer says says helping them replace what they lost is just one of the steps to recovery.

“That emotional support, being there, guiding them down that pathway of what they do to recover, cause right now they're just lost, they don't really know where to go,” says Farmer.
