Hundreds Thanked Through "Guns and Hoses" Luncheon

Horizon Bay assisted living facility hosted a luncheon Friday to thank local police, firefighters, and EMTs for the hard work.
Residents of a Wichita Falls retirement home thanked local police, firefighters, and EMT's for their service by filling their bellies.

A hearty meal of steak and baked potatoes was a perfect way for 500 services members to fill up on this cold, rainy day.

The lunch plus live music were part of Horizon Bay's fifth annual "Guns and Hoses" appreciation event.

Katrina York, sales and marketing manager for Horizon Bay, says, "This is a way here at horizon bay we can include our residents. They can sit down and visit with them and thank them for everything they do and send them off with a full stomach full of good food."

Horizon Bay workers also collected donations for Operation Santa Claus today, which is a non-profit that local firefighters support.

The non-profit provides Christmas presents to needy children in our community.
