The 2013 Street Rehab Project continues to barrell down Kemp Boulevard as crews work on base repairs from Maplewood to Hampstead.
Project Manager Blane Boswell says drivers can expect to see crews out and about over the next few weeks as they finish up the base repair portion of the project, which will then be follow by the overlay process.
He says even though construction is causing slight delays in the area, it will be worth it in the long run.
Boswell says, "We have to do construction to keep our roads up-to-date and to keep traveling and Kemp is one of the busiest roads in town and just a small amount of time worth of inconvenience will pay off greatly in the end when we have a brand new roadway that we can all drive up and down."
Boswell say when crews start the overlay portion of the project, they will work on the outside lanes at night so it doesn't affect businesses.
Boswell says the whole Street Rehab Project from Call Field to Kell is expected to be completed in mid to late October.
