Flapjacks were flying in downtown Wichita Falls Saturday.

Thousands got their fill at the 58th annual University Kiwanis Pancake Festival was Saturday at the JS Bridwell Ag center.

The tradition features hot- off- the- grill pancakes and sausage patties.

It takes dozens of volunteers to pull off.

One of those pancake flippers has been volunteering for 50 years and says working for a good cause is what keeps him coming back.

“Cause it does a lot of good, all the money we make out of this we turn it back into helping people, we make that money so we can find somebody that needs some help,” says Rob Gragg.

Organizers say last year they served about 11- thousand people.

The money raised benefits Kiwanis Park, Wichita Falls Area Food Bank and many more organizations.
