A Wichita Falls grocery store is soon to have new owners, and store officials say much will stay the same.

A Wichita Falls grocery store is soon to have new owners, and store officials say much will stay the same.

Idaho-based Albertson's says next week they will turn over ownership of its store on Southwest Parkway to Lawrence Brothers Supermarkets, which is based in Sweetwater, Texas.

Jay Lawrence, the President of Lawrence Brothers Supermarkets, says its stores are supplied by the same warehouse as Albertson's, but insists Lawrence Brothers prices will be cheaper.

He also says those employed at Albertson's now will not lose their jobs.

We were going to use the current management that is in place in the stores, but we hope to be hiring more positions as our business develops,” he said.

Lawrence Brothers Supermarket plans to open January 17th.

The store will be Lawrence Brothers Supermarkets' 22nd location.
