Libby Brooks is a special young girl that Sunday night in Wichita Falls again showed us that it's best to think of others before yourself.

She has turned her negative experience at a local restaurant into a positive lesson on giving back to others.

Sunday at El Chico's on Southwest Parkway she not only was raising money for her travel and medical expenses to Cook Children's Hospital, she also collected art supplies for children at United Regional and she's collecting Coke tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.

As you can imagine, helping others is a special cause for Libby.

"It makes me feel so much better than taking everything for myself, because I wasn't raised like that. I was taught to give back to the community and people," said Libby.

Libby's mom Dorothy said, "The support from the community has been absolutely wonderful and a little overwhelming. We greatly appreciate everybody who has come out and supported us."

A lot of us can take a lesson from Libby as she is showing the community how to be unselfish and that it is important to give back.

She sold every single one of the 150 Team Libby shirts she had for sale. If you would like to help out Libby and her family, there will a special benefit concert on October 20th at Outskirts.
