Man Sentenced in Retail Theft Scheme

Willie Fannon was found guilty of organized retail theft over $500.
One of four suspects involved in a scheme to steal merchandise from the J.C. Penney store in Wichita Falls now knows his punishment.

Willie Fannon was found guilty of organized retail theft over $500.

That charge was reduced to a class-A misdemeanor.

He's sentenced to one day of county jail and will also have to pay a $2000 fine.

Police say he was the boyfriend of a J.C. Penney employee who would void sales so her friends could walk out with free items.

Arrest records show the total value of all the purchases was more than $1500.
