One of a Kind Grill to be Auctioned for the ARC

It is almost time to put on your favorite pair of boots and kick up your heals for the ARC of Wichita County's annual fundraiser, Boot Scootin' Boogie.
It is almost time to put on your favorite pair of boots and kick up your heals for the ARC of Wichita County's annual fundraiser, Boot Scootin' Boogie.

This year's fundraiser will include one item you can bid on that you can't get anywhere else.

Jim Stout is known across Texoma for turning all kinds of things into grill, including car motors and tractors.

This year he is working on turning this Club Cadet Garden Tractor into the Grub Grill that you can actually drive.

He says he finds inspiration for his inventions from his dad.

“You've just got to do something with your hands, and with your mind and build something completely different, I think most of my inspiration is mostly my dad to allow me to build things and to do things, even though they were wrong sometimes, or broke, he still let me do things,” says Stout.

Programs at the ARC benefit families, from children to adults, with intellectual disabilities.

The fundraiser will be February 28th from 5 p.m. To 11 p.m., at the Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall.
