Police Warn Residents to Check Financial Records

Hundreds may have been targeted by suspected forger.
A man charged with forgery may have been targeting hundreds of Wichita Falls residents according to police.

Police say they found Kyle Lewis King in possession of hundreds of addresses. He was arrested last week and has since posted a 25-thousand dollars bond.  Police believe has already scammed hundreds of Wichita Falls residents out of an unknown amount of cash.

After months of investigating the local computer programmer, officers say they were able to prove he was taking his clients' personal information.

Additionally they say king had hundreds of addresses of residents in his possession. Police say the information is readily available in a phone book, but they have sent letters to each of those residents as a precaution.

If you receive a letter from the Wichita Falls Police Department, please read it carefully. You are  asked to check your credit report for any suspicious activity.
