The Dallas Cowboys defense is the worst since the 1981 Baltimore Colts. The Cowboys are allowing an average of 24.9 first downs per game. The Colts averaged 25.4 in 1981.
MICKEY SPAGNOLA "The Dallas Cowboys got back to work out here at the ranch on Wednesday and Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett realizes if this defense is going to get better, and it needs to get better in a hurry facing the Green Bay Packers, they've got to do a better job putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks."
JASON GARRETT "We haven't affected the quarterback enough. He was too comfortable in the game and throughout the game. I think they dropped back 36, 37 times in this game and we weren't around him enough making him feel our prescence in the pocket. We didn't get him off the spot enough and it starts with affecting him. It starts with winning on rushes and certainly using scheme to affect the quarterback is the part of our package like it is for any team around the league."
MICKEY SPAGNOLA "The Cowboys got to Chicago Bears quarterback Josh McCown only one time in Monday night's 45-28 loss to the Chicago Bears. That means in the last six games the Cowboys have only record seven sacks. That's not near enough to be successful in the National Football League. For the Silver Star Nation I'm Mickey Spagnola here at the ranch."
