Just days before Christmas, one person is dead and another is airlifted to a Wichita Falls hospital following a single car accident on Monday evening.
Department of Public Safety Trooper Tony Fulton says the accident happened just before 5 p.m.
Fulton says 44-year-old Vanessa Anna Bolf was driving a 1999 Honda CRV on FM 172 and took a sharp curve going too fast and lost control.
Fulton says Bolf, a Scotland resident, lost control of the vehicle, went off the road and rolled the car several times.
He says Bolf and her passenger, 49-year-old Samuel Wolf from Windthorst, were both ejected.
Bolf was pronounced dead on the scene and Wolf was care-flighted to United Regional where Fulton says he is listed in critical condition.
Fulton says it appears both victims were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
DPS continues to investigate what led to the crash.
