The latest lake report keeps Wichita Falls in stage three drought restrictions.

Area lakes are at a combined total of 31.5%.

As that number drops, we move closer to going into to stage four water restrictions.

The city originally thought stage four would be enacted in August, but cooler temperatures and some rain helped push it off.

Wichita Falls Director of Public Works Russell Schreiber says if the city does enact stage four restrictions, it will most likely be in late October or early November.

If the 30% trigger point is reached, it will be announced at a city council meeting.

Stage four does not allow any outdoor watering.
