The beginnings of a school bond is drafted at the WFISD school board work session.

Three different rough-draft bond proposals were presented at the Wichita Falls School District's Board Work Session.

Each plan has two different phases.

Phase one of the bond the school board hopes to pass in the May 2014 election would build new facilities for Rider and Wichita Falls High School.

School officials say they'll also make upgrades for safety and technology in the schools.

Phase two would be part of another bond they plan to pass in about five to seven years.

“We have a number of old facilities in the school district and when they rated them on building condition we had a number of sub-par facilities so a bond would be set to address many of our older facilities,” said Dr. John Frossard, WFISD's Superintendent.

Currently the bond could cost anywhere from 60 to 100 million dollars.
