WF's 2013 Street Rehab Work Wrapping Up

After a year of different repairs the 2013 Street Rehab Project is about to be finished.

Parts of McNiel Avenue and Rhea Road have already been fixed and the last section of Kemp Blvd. should be finished Wednesday.

The next step in the project will be painting the lines on the road.

That is expected to start later this week and depending on the weather should be finished before Thanksgiving.

The last part of the Kemp project was expected to be wrapped up already but some mechanical issues pushed back the project by a day or two.

“It was a repair that had to be done during the day time hours because of the safety hazards involved. They milled all the roadway, all we have left to do is the paving work,” says Project Manager Blane Boswell.

The Street Rehab Project is an annual project.

The combined cost of all the road work is about 3 million dollars.
