Veterans Day is around the corner so Texoma residents filled the streets of downtown Wichita Falls Saturday to honor those who served.

Members of all branches of the military were honored as they marched and rode in the annual veterans day parade.

Local school bands played music while marching and kids scrambled in the streets to catch candy as their families watched the parade.

One of those families has been coming to the parade for more than six years, and says after moving around with the military, it's nice to see that their new home makes an effort to support veterans.

To me it's important because my mom and my dad served, I had a grandfather that was in world war, that it's very important,” says Enez Holmes.

Although it was celebrated Saturday Veterans Day is Monday November 11th.
