Wichita Falls Whole Sale Customers Raise Water Costs

Wichita Falls whole sale water customers are raising the price of water after Wichita Falls raised the whole sale price on them.
Wichita Falls whole sale water customers are raising the price of water after Wichita Falls raised the whole sale price on them.

A month ago Wichita Falls announced it would raise its rates 137% than last year.

Cities, who are Wichita Falls water whole sale customers, then had to re-work the prices they charge their citizens.

Officials in Burkburnett said they will not be making changes to water rates because they raised them two dollars per two thousand gallons in July.

They hope to supply their own city water soon with construction set to take place after the new year for their own water wells.

City officials in Iowa Park say the base rate they charge to their citizens will go up 50%.

If you use more than two thousand gallons of water the rate will go up between 50 and 60% on top of the new base rate charge.

City officials say the price change will begin in the October billing cycle.
