Woman Charged with Stabbing, Accounts Conflict

A 32 year old Wichita Falls woman is charged with stabbing her boyfriend.
A 32 year old Wichita Falls woman is charged with stabbing her boyfriend who told police he caused the accident when he snuck up behind her and goosed her, not realizing she was holding a knife.

But a witness gave officers a different version of the incident.

Christen Mitchell is charged with aggravated assault family violence and was jailed on $20,000 bond.

The victim told police he had gone out to get beer and came back in the home on Covington without Mitchell seeing him, then snuck up behind her in the kitchen.

He said he scared her and she reacted by turning around and stabbing him in the left arm. Another person in the home was interviewed and told police the couple had been arguing all day.

He says he stepped between them to stop the fight and Mitchell rushed at the victim and stabbed him with a serrated knife. The witness took him to the emergency room when they couldn't stop the bleeding.

Police say Mitchell claimed she was defending herself with the knife.
