Iowa Park voters and residents of Wichita County Precinct Three will get
the chance to decide if their precinct will join the rest of the
county, and go wet.
Iowa Park's Director of Economic Development said he is opposed to the City, and Precinct Three, going wet.
"Citizens to Keep Tax Dollars in Iowa Park" won't have a measure on the
November ballot which, if approved, would have made Wichita County Precinct 3
wet. Instead, they're now focusing on the May elections.
If you want to pick up a six pack in Graham, you can't. You have to
drive to another town. It's been that way for over a century, and now
some are saying it's time for a change.
Liquor sales became legal five months ago, but it's only in the the
Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 area, which is South Montague county.
And now, the Bowie's first liquor store is open.
A group calling themselves "Graham Wet" wants retailers in Graham to be
able to sell alcohol, and they're pushing for a measure on the November
ballot to do just that.
