Texomans know all too well the dangers of severe weather. That's why commissioners brought a government-subsidized storm shelter program to Wichita County.
While 12 Texoma counties were approved for federal disaster aid for
the wildfires of last spring and summer, Wichita County was left out.
Two pieces of property on the east side of the city... damaged in
the 2007 flood will be used for open space or recreational purposes.
The properties are at 430 Woods and 323 Tulsa.
