Rainfall Totals June 7th - June 8th

Showers and thunderstorms moved across Texoma last night dropping heavy rain across areas
that have missed out on recent rainfall events. The graphic above shows official rainfall totals
from the National Weather Service since Saturday afternoon through early Sunday morning
(June 7-8). Wichita Falls picked up 1.24 inches of rain. This is the most rain the city has seen
in a 24 hour period since March 15th of this year. Since January 1st, Wichita Falls has picked up
only 6.34 inches of rain.

Radar estimated rainfall totals over the past 24 hours show widespread 0.75-1.00
inch rainfall amounts 
in the Lake Arrowhead, Lake Kemp, and Lake Kickapoo

United States Geological Survey (USGS) rainfall monitoring sites at area lakes
recorded the following rainfall amounts in the past 24 hours.

Lake Kickapoo            1.08 inches
Lake Kemp                  1.48 inches
Lake Arrowhead        1.27 inches
