Cortney Wood joined the KFDX/Texoma’s Homepage in Feb 2018 as a part-time digital content producer. Within six months, she was promoted to full-time and added the role of weekend assignments editor to her skill set.
Born in raised in Wichita Falls, Cortney is a Texoma native who thrives off community. She’s been involved with journalism since middle school at McNiel, earned national recognition for her reporting at Rider High School and helped the Midwestern State University student newspaper earn a finalist recognition for an online Pacemaker.
Cortney has found a love for story-telling both in written and visual form, and she has helped generate active digital engagement on a variety of platforms.
As a second semester senior at MSU Texas working for her Bachelor’s of Arts degree, Cortney is ready to have that diploma with her name on it and see what else is in store for her.
When she’s not in the newsroom, Cortney loves picking up a new book, attempting to cook and trying out different art styles.
