Joshua Hoggard is a Digital Reporter for Texoma’s Homepage, with an emphasis on graphic design and video production.
Joshua is a native Texan. Born in College Station, his family moved around until settling in his parent’s hometown of Wichita Falls during his early teens. Though he wasn’t born in Wichita Falls, he’s always thought of it as home, making regular trips to visit extended family prior to becoming a resident and spending his most formative years there.
Joshua graduated from Rider High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Midwestern State University, where he majored in psychology and minored in philosophy. While attending MSU, Joshua was on the staff of The Wichitan, the student-run weekly newspaper. He began as an Op-Ed and Entertainment columnist and eventually became the editor of the Op-Ed and Sports pages. Also while attending MSU, he served as a production assistant at KFDX for a short time.
After spending several years working as a production manager, graphic designer, and camera director in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex, Joshua returned to Wichita Falls and re-joined the KFDX / KJTL family as a production director in March 2019. In November 2019, he transitioned onto the digital team as a Digital Content Producer. Recently, his role changed once again in late 2021 when he became the digital reporter for Texoma’s Homepage.
When he’s not busy writing stories or covering breaking news, Joshua is probably hanging out with his wife and two daughters, watching reruns of The Office, making dad jokes or talking about Star Wars.
