Shatanya Clarke

Shatanya Clarke Joins the KFDX news team from the Sunshine State, Florida.
Shatanya was born and raised in Ocho Rios, Jamaica where she first developed her passion for storytelling. After immigrating, she attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (Go Rattlers!), where she received her Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism.

While at Florida A&M, Shatanya served in multiple capacities such as Live shot reporter, entertainment news anchor and associate news producer (just to name a few). Her love for media, led her to audition for her school radio station, WANM 90.5. where she scored a spot as the radio show host and disc jockey for the Caribbean segment, which aired every Sunday.

Through that experience, Shatanya later landed a radio internship at Hurley’s Media in the Cayman Islands.

Shatanya joined the KFDX news team August 2018 as a News Reporter/Multimedia Journalist.

This is Shatanya’s first job out of college and she is eager to learn and grow in Wichita Falls. When she is not on your screens, she enjoys cooking, singing, and volunteering.

When reporting, Shatanya lives by a saying her professor once told her, “You gotta get that facts to the folks”, and she intends on doing just that, so if there is a story you think she should cover, shoot her an email at
