Finding Your Forever Pet

Talking Texoma

This morning on Talking Texoma Ben Coker visits the Humane Society of Wichita County and chats with Cheryl Miller about the Clear the Shelters event on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 9 am to 6 pm.

The Humane Society of Wichita County is one of many area wide shelters participating in the Clear the Shelters event. Cheryl say they have about 72 dogs and cats available for adoption this Saturday. She also says at the Humane Society of Wichita County all fees will be waived and will adopting out animals to their forever home for donations only.

If you adopt from the Humane Society of Wichita County the animals are already vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and neutered. Cheryl says every pet adopted out if fully vetted.

Cheryl says there are some requirements to adopt a pet like if you live in a house they ask for you to have a fenced in yard. Also, if you rent or live in an apartment you must have permission from your landlord before you can adopt.

If you are looking to give a special animal a forever home, visit the Humane Society of Wichita County this Saturday during the Clear the Shelters event from 9 am to 6 pm.
