Today on Talking Texoma, host Dee King sits down with Josh Taylor, Executive Director of Early Head Start Wichita Falls about what they do.
Josh says Early Head Start is a low-income family program that works with pregnant mothers and children from zero to three years old. He also states their main goal is to get the children prepared for success once they enter Kindergarten.
He also lets us know they have two locations, one on Flood Street and one on East Scott Avenue, but apart from their offices they offer home-based services. Josh explains that during a home-based service one of their staff will go to your house for a 90-minute session to work with the parent and child to help them reach developmental milestones.
Josh iterates that Early Head Start is a no cost program funded by federal grants and donations from the community.
So, if you or someone you know would like to learn more about Early Head Start Wichita Falls, contact Josh Taylor at one of the two locations in Wichita Falls.
