Summer may seem far away, but for local artists, it is time to start getting ready for June.
The second annual Art and Soul festival will be Saturday, June 25 from four to 10 p.m. along Indiana Avenue.
The event will feature up to 50 artists, along with food vendors and live music. Applications are open for artists to sign up.
“We have tons of different mediums of art from your paintings, to sculptures, to glass art,” Jeanette VanDonge, Downtown Wichita Falls Development assistant director, said. “So we encourage anybody who is out there making art to submit their application.”
After the application process, it costs around $150 for artists to officially register. They will provide a 10 by 10 booth, along with lighting, electricity table and chairs. A 10 by 5 student booth is $50. The last day to submit an application is late May.
