UPDATE: WFPD investigating deadly accident

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) - UPDATE: Wichita Falls police said a 23-year-old died after he was ejected from his car early Sunday morning.

Officer Jeff Hughes said Zachary Shane Montgomery was speeding when he drove up on the curve, lost control, and hit a concrete pillar. Montgomery was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

Wichita Falls police are investigating what appeared to be serious early morning injury accident.

It happened under the bridge on the corner of Old Jacksboro Hwy. and East Central Freeway around 2 Sunday morning.

Our crew on the scene said it looked as though a car hit the pillars holding up the bridge.

There were car engine parts scattered across the road and what could have been a body under a white sheet.

No word on how many people were involved in the accident, or what lead to it.
