Compassion Run Raises Money for Straight Street

Compassion Run 2015_-5227448713757703172
Dozens of bikers hopped on their bikes and hit the pavement on Saturday morning for the 10th annual Compassion Run.

Each year, this motorcycle run gives biker groups from all over Texoma the opportunity to come together for a great ride, while giving back to the community.

The run started and ended at the Evangel Temple in Wichita Falls.

All of the proceeds raised at the event benefit Straight Street, a local youth ministry.

“These are the most incredible group of people. It’s a whole new demographic for us and they’re from all different walks of life and different age groups,” Straight Street director JJ Schweiger says.

On Sunday, during the 10 a.m. service at the Evangel Temple, Straight Street was presented a check for just over $12,000.
