DPS posts $3,000 reward for most wanted sex offender from Houston

After a man failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements, the Department of Public Safety officials have posted a $3,000 reward for information that leads to his arrest.

Leonard Dee Taylor, 47, was convicted of two counts of aggravated sexual assault of children involving a 4-year-old and 9-year-old girls in Bowie County in 2003. Taylor has been wanted since April 2018 when he absconded his last known address in Houston.

Taylor is 5-feet-11-inches tall and about 150 lbs. with tattoos on the top of both of his hands.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tipsters MUST provide information to authorities using one of the three following methods:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
  • Submit a Facebook tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).
