FEMA Assistance Registation Extended

The federal goverment filing assistance for folks with property damage from flooding in Wichita County will be extending their deadline to register to Saturday June 27th.

You can go to the FEMA registration intake center on the second floor of the Wichita Falls Public Library. They were scheduled to close tomorrow but they’ll stay open this week and next.

They’ll be open today through the 27th 8 to 7:30. Just be sure to bring with you.

–A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
–THE ADDRESS OF WHERE DAMAGE OCCURED
–A DESCRIPTION OF ALL THE DAMAGE
–AND INSURANCE POLICY NUMBERS WITH COVERAGE DESCRIPTIONS.

They say it takes 20 minutes to register and you can apply for flood recovery assistance whether you have insurance or not.

Those who are unable to get to the library may register by calling  1-800-621-3362 or by going online to www.disasterassistance.gov
