$3,800 dollars will be split between the Smith and Landavazo families thanks to the hard work of Oh-2-B-Kids and the generosity of Texomans, all from one big night of serving up chicken spaghetti.
Organizers estimate well over 200 people attended the benefit dinner last night to help raise funds for the families of the two victims of last Friday’s after-school shooting. They actually sold out of the chicken spaghetti which was made up of 70 pounds of chicken and 70 pounds of noodles.
They finally finished an hour after their original end time at 10 o’clock last night. Organizer Amber Vaden says Oh-2-B-Kids received food, drink, and decoration donations from several area businesses and non-profit groups..
Oh-2-B-Kids would like to thank Olive Garden, Walmart, Taco Casa, Terrells Quality Lawncare, Sonic Drive-In on Taft, Brown Jamz, and Circle M Bakery for donating to the event.
$626 came from the bake sale, and the rest was through donations from the chicken spaghetti dinner.
