Local Motorcycle Ride Benefits Homeless Shelters

News
A Wichita Falls man, who said he was inspired when volunteering, put on a community motorcycle ride Saturday morning with the proceeds benefiting the Faith Mission and Faith Refuge.

Motorcyclists geared up for the first Faith Fun Run that took off at Regeneration Church.

David Zentgraf planned the event because he was inspired to help the shelters after serving meals to the homeless during Thanksgiving.

“Just how appreciative they were of just having a dinner,” Zentgraf said. “I mean these people just, they’re just so caring and they were just so thankful to just have a meal and you know a place to lay their head.”

Zentgraf said he hopes this will become an annual event.

Individual riders paid $15 dollars and doubles riders paid $20 to enter the run.

The proceeds will go toward buying a new van for the shelters that will help get individuals to church services and anywhere else they might need to go.
