Tuesday night, police arrested 17-year-old Stefan Shaffer in connection with several Wichita Falls school buses being vandalized last year.

Shaffer was riding his bike after dark on Fillmore Street, with no reflectors.

Officers stopped him and discovered he had an outstanding warrant for being involved with that bus vandalism incident.

He was arrested and charged with criminal mischief under $20,000.

That incident happened on August 13th, when police say vandals caused about $12,000 worth of damage to six buses at the Durham School Services bus barn.

The most recent defendant in that case, Kagan Baisden was arrested with two others at a home on Marsha Lane last December while police were investigating another vandalism report with pellet guns.

Baisden entered a plea to a charge of criminal mischief over $1,500 for the vandalism to the buses.

He was sentenced to five years deferred adjudication on the charges of criminal mischief.

He received the same sentence for theft of a firearm and those sentences will run concurrently.
