All of the entries are in for this years I.d.e.a. WF and many Texomans eagerly await the finalist results.
There were 19 entrants in this year’s competition which was up a little bit from last year, and the types of businesses range from retail to service businesses to wholesale businesses.
There have been quite a few entries from other communities in the area like Iowa Park, Burkburnett and Henrietta. The director of the program said he knew it would take some time to grow, but they are excited about this year’s entrants.
“Being our 10th year we really want to put the emphasis on entrepreneurship,” I.d.e.a. WF Director Scott Manley said. “We really want to emphasize the past success of our winners. We are really excited about our tenth year and about making it a grand celebration of entrepreneurship and contributions of past winners, so it’s very rewarding.”
On Friday, April 26, the 15 semifinalists will be announced and those businesses will start working on their full business plans that will be turned in to the judges in August.
