Abilene School Employee Arrested for Child Pornography

(KTAB) ABILENE — A Johnston Elementary School employee has been charged with Possession/Promotion of Child Pornography, a 3rd Degree Felony.

Christopher Jordan Browning, 22, worked in the school’s cafeteria, and according to jail records, Browning was arrested on Friday, May 22nd and booked into the Taylor County Jail.

He was later released the following Monday on May 25th after posting a $10,000 bond.

Abilene ISD released this statement regarding the incident:

“The Abilene Police Department alerted us regarding a search warrant pertaining to a lunch room attendant who served at Johnston Elementary School. The search warrant was served at the home of the individual, and the individual was arrested. The attendant had limited, supervised contact with children in the lunch line, where he served food. The individual has been terminated and will not be permitted to be on school grounds.”
