Altus PD respond to local bomb threat as nationwide threats continue

Altus Police received a report of a bomb threat at a local business on Thursday, although officials said it appears to have been a part of the nationwide threat sent out via Facebook.

Deputy Chief Timothy Scott said the business was cleared by Altus PD with assistance from Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Altus Fire Department, Jackson County EMS and Altus Air Force Base 97th Security Forces K-9 Bomb Detection unit.
