TEXOMA (KFDX/KJTL) — Atmos Energy donated refillable water bottles to the athletic and band programs at several Texoma schools as part of their Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities Initiative.

Atmos Energy delivered the water bottles to Archer City, Bellevue, Electra, Henrietta, Newcastle, Olney and Petrolia High School athletic and marching programs to combat the dehydration that students in these programs can experience.

In a statement, Atmos Energy said:

Atmos Energy prides itself in making safety a priority.  We also want to show support for back-to-school needs through our Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities Initiative.

As hot as Texas summers can be, preparing for the next school year’s athletic and marching band competitions can make students susceptible to dehydration.

Atmos Energy hopes these refillable water bottles will be helpful to the students of Newcastle, Olney, Archer City, Bellevue, Henrietta, Petrolia, and Electra High School athletic and marching band programs.
