The Bowie I.S.D. Board of Trustees named a familiar face as the lone finalist for the district’s superintendent position Wednesday night.
Blake Enlow has been the principal at Bowie High School since 2016 and has been employed with the district since 2011. His wife teaches at Bowie Junior High and his three children attend school within the district.
Enlow also served the Keller ISD as a teacher, coach and campus administrator before coming to Bowie. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Midwestern State University.
The Board selected nine applicants for an initial interview. Three of those applicants were invited back for a second interview before Enlow was named the lone finalist. By law, 21 days must pass before the Board can vote on whether to officially hire him to be the new superintendent for Bowie ISD.
The Board is scheduled to vote to offer a contract to Enlow on May 15.
He is expected to replace outgoing Superintendent Steven Monkres.
