A Bowie teen was killed and three other people are seriously injured in an accident in Lewisville where police officers said a semi-truck gravel hauler T-boned their car Saturday afternoon.

At the intersection of FM 544 and State Highway 121 service road, police officers said either the gravel hauler or the car in which the teen was a passenger ran a red light causing the collision.
It’s unclear which one, but Lewisville Police officers said they are reviewing traffic cam footage to determine what happened.

The tractor-trailer T-boned the car on the passenger side where Alexandra Lynch, 13, of Bowie was sitting in the backseat. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car was driven by a 37-year-old woman from Sanger who is already out of the hospital.

There were two other children in the car were ages 13- and 9-years-old.

The 13-year-old girl, who police said was Lynch’s best friend, and her 9-year-old brother, are still in critical condition.
